Cost to repair FA 28-70 AL F4

My FA 28-70 has fungus and Pentax "will replace the infected lens elements" for $140,
shipping included. Is the lens worth the cost of repair?

I've seen these locally for $100-$125 (Canadian). Nice lenses, but that's a lot to pay for a repair!

I just got one from KEH for under $100, so I would be reluctant to perform the repairs at that price. Still, I have a hard time letting good gear go unrepaired.
