K20D overexposing with Sigma 17-70

Hi
I recently upgraded my kit lens (18-55) and bought the well regarded Sigma 17-70 f2.8-4.5.
The improvement is really noticeable in image quality. But the question is that now the K20D seems to overexpose about 0,5 to 1 f stop. With the kit lens it was the opposite I almost always had +0,5 of EV compensation. Does anyone else have noticed this?

This is pretty normal I think. My different lenses need different (mostly fixed for each lens though) compensation values as well. Just set it somewhere that balances it well and you'll be fine

I don't know if I'd call it overexposing... Pentax bodies tend to meter with the histogram skewed a little left to preserve highlights. I find that most often with the Sigma, exposure is a little closer to how I want it at the end without exposure compensation.

Yes, I know that... and now I see the advantages of it. It's just a matter of adjusting EV acording to the lens I'm using at the time. I almost always chimp my photos so...
But I can tell the Sigma is a very nice zoom lens (for the price).
