focus grip decoupled from focus ring

So I got a Vivitar Komine 200mm f/3.5 from ebay and it is in great optical condition! Pretty good even wide open. They even included extension rings thinking it was part of the lens.

However, the one thing is the focus grip is decoupled from the focus ring. What is the best way to get working again? drip some superglue underneath it?

In addition, it is smooth most of the way, then has a little resistance at one point. Is there a way to fix this without taking it apart or minimal deconstruction?

Zoom grip? You mean the rubber sleeve that covers the focusing ring?

Don't use super glue. I find that hair spray works better.

I had a similar "hitch" in a focus ring on a K50/1.2 - it was a small impact mark and it rubbed the helicoid inside the lens. It was worth having Eric fix it for me since it was a nice lens.

I've used some paper thin double sided adhesive tape. I think it was meant for mounting photos to albums. You only need a few pieces here and there. The only tricky part is to slide the rubber all the way over the focus ring without it sticking too early.

I was hoping to just squeeze it so the grip has a space between it and the ring and drop something on there, as the focus grip is huge.

I second the hairspray. We use hairspray to assist the ease of installing mountainbike grips and it holds tight when it dries.
