K 85mm f/1.8 question

Does anyone know what a fair price is for this lens? I cannot locate a similar lens in the marketplace.

This web site lists the selling prices of various lenses from Pentax and others. It will also depend on the condition of the lens.

Wow, nice spreadsheet. So you are saying $239 is a good price for this lens in good condition? Perhaps I will purchase it.

The store is holding it for me at $229.00. I am gonna go test it out and maybe buy it.

Well....I bought it. It is very nice and pretty clean. $229.00 plus tax. Seemed like a good deal to me.

That's a very good price....less than what I paid for mine. I just posted about the 85 in the following thread....

Depending on what you are used to, the focal length might take a bit to get used to....but it (and it's SMC Tak twin) are my favorite lenses.

Nice photos. I have a new Rokinon 85mm, but I thought that this was a good deal so I bought it. I had heard these Pentax 85s have a certain magic about them so I figured I should give it a try especially for for $230.00. I really like the smallish size. I have been taking photos of my cat since I got it earlier and it seems pretty sharp wide open. So far I am satisfied.

It has a certain look....it's weird....it can really have your subject standing out with a sharp edge while maintaining a soft feel to the picture.
