Anyone with money to burn: A* 135/1.8...

(not mine or it wouldn't be up for auction)

...eBay, "Buy it Now" price of US $2,139.00.

No money to burn

Yep, pretty sure everybody here is probably aware of it. Too costly though. A few weeks back one went in an earnest auction for ~$1700, which probably everybody in the forum put a bid on.

I snapped up an A* 300mm 2.8 for buy it now about a month back. That'll have to satisfy my LAS for now - until I can get my grubby hands on an FA* 85mm of course...

That lens is soooo over-rated.

Canon EF 135mm f2 is so much more affordable than that with better contrast wide open than this so called legendary lens.

And if anyone is interested in purple colour flood and unsharp centre in their images, go for A 135mm f1.8

The eBay price is way overpriced.
It is a lovely lens as my friend frank has one.

A near mint condition A* 135mm sold on ebay in May, I believe, for only about $1330. I was the bidder in the lead at $1325 until the last second when someone else got it.

I agree...I'd rather buy another body and run dual system...and probably still be ahead..
