Sigma 17-70mm Thread w Images?

Im thinkin of getting either the Sigma 17-70 or the Pentax da 16-45mm. I already saw some pictures taken with the 16-45mm in a thread here but I havent found the sigma 17-70mm w/ images thread
Is there a thread in here that user posts images taken w/ the sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4.5? if not can some owners of sigma 17-70 would be willing to post some images here? thx in advance

I have owned both.

Starting with the 17-70 Sigma which I was slightly disappointed with, found it hard to get a sharp image and poor colour. Moved to a Pentax 16-45mm which I liked for the constant F4 and colour, however I found the lense to be poorly built :the front element extending for wide angle left a lot to be desired as it had a lot of play in it, enough to impact the image. I also found the lense to just not be long enough to everyday use.

So I went back to another 17-70, this time after getting my hands on an old copy that was gathering dust at my work, this lense has been far sharper than my original and as such I have been more than happy to keep it, imho it's an excellent and possibly underrated everyday jack of all trades lense. It does macro to some extent, it has a decent reach and is wide to.

Unless you get a bad copy this lense will not disappoint.

You have many wonderful pictures sample of Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5. It is my go-to lens for walk-around and it serve well for good focal range, great close up in 1:2.3, nice build and small size.

I used it mostly for traveling light and walk-around. When combined with a fast prime and a good tele-zoom such as the DA 55-300mm or something similar, you have a good combo that is ready for beautiful and dependable shots.

Thanks,
Hin
