I've got it. Pentax-F, "a"-setting release knob red, no SMC coating, 8 blades. I think it came as a kit lens with the SF 7-body. I had another copy, which I sold for around 100USD/60EUR, I've seen several for sale on auction sites here in Sweden. Seemingly not the Holy Grale, but a fine little lens in spite of the missing SMC.
I guess Boz is simply wrong about the number of blades, but that may well be excused considering everything else about his marvellous and unselfish work on that site.
