Super-Tak f4 200mm

Got my Super-Tak f4 200mm in the mail today can't wait to try it out on my K20d. Any tips for using this lens. So far all I have been using are Super-Tak f1.4 50mm and Super-Tak f2 55mm lens which are very small compared to the size of this lens.

Thanks,
Gary

I have the S-M-C version, and it is a very nice lens. I always shoot in AV mode with my Taks, and just use EV comp to get exposure right.

Here is my favorite shot I have taken with it so far. ( The exif shows 55mm, I forgot to change after using my Super Tak 55 1.8 )

I have some non-genuine M42 adapters, but for lenses this big, I really prefer the genuine one. That's a lot of weight and length. Conveniently, the hood and filter size is shared with the 135mm f2.5 lenses. I didn't keep mine because of the size.

.

Hold elbows down at sides, breathe softly and evenly throughout the shot (don't
hold breath,) make sure SR is on, go zen right before the snap to get
ultimate stillness, snap. Maybe focus bracket for a while to get a feel for where in
the green hex throw it hits ultimate sharpness.

The Tak 200 (I had the S-M-C version) is a very sharp lens with lovely rendering
characteristics.
