I think your Yashica 60mm Macro is the same as this Mamiya. It's one of the best macro lenses. I'm still kicking myself for selling both of my copies:

Hi,

Grabbed two weeks ago a Fujinon 55/3.5 Macro, a Fujinon 28/3.5 and a Tamron 135/2.5 with an O/M mount for 40 euros ...

Otherwise, from last month buy, a Kiron 105/2.8 PK/A for 160 euros and a new "old stock" Pentax-K 135/2.5 (the 6 elements one) at 160 euros too ...

Now, i'm waiting for the holidays to have more fun with these lenses ...

Cheers

My most recent big score was about a month ago when I snared a Super-Multi-Coated 85mm f:1.8 in excellent condition, with the original case, hood, front & rear caps for $110.

Pawnshop Find: 125 bucks

SF-1 Body
F 35-70
F 70-310
Two Cokin Filter Sets.
MonoPod.
Pentax Tripod with 2 Quick Releases.
Large Leather Handled Camera Case

I sold all of the above and kept the other item in the kit, the F50 1.7. I made enough profit from the other stuff to pay for the kit and about 200 left over. Sold a couple more pawnshop finds for a profit and combined that to buy my 55-300..

Wow, those deals are amazing! Cheekygeek, was that score off eBay?

This summer off eBay I got a "buy it now" for $150 which included a Yashica TL Electro with a Yashinon-DX 50mm 1.4, a Yashinon-DX zoom (a monster), and a Yashinon 60mm Macro with "Tomioka" on it.

The 60mm Macro is one of my favorites. The manual focus seems to "snap" in place and the image quality and sharpness I find terrific.
Yeah, that's an amazing lens. I just sold my fairly beat up version for $150 on the marketplace.

Well it's not too surprising, my LBA finds so far pale in comparison to some of these.

However I was pretty happy when I picked up my M400 F5.6 in excellent condition for AUD $150
And my uncle recently gave me this stuff for free: MZ-50, Sigma 100-300, F35-80, Tokina 19-35, Kenko 2X TC.
To be honest, apart from the Tokina I don't think I'll use the lenses, but can't complain The MZ-50 has proven to be fun also.

I've got a few:

-Vivitar Series 1 70-210 f/3.5 (Version 2, Tokina) for $13.76. Got it home and found the aperture doesn't stop down fast enough to be used for anything other than stop-down-metering, but I am waiting on a K-mount to EOS adapter to find out if I'm going to use it or sell it on. Glass is perfect and zoom creeps just a bit, but OH WELL.

-S-M-C Takumar 35mm f/3.5 w/case, like new for $0.00. Friend found it in a pile of other photo gear that her father had accumulated and never used. It's the sharpest lens I have for walk abouts, and I love how small it is.

-S-M-C Tak 55mm f/1.8 and Spotmatic F in excellent condition for $15. Thrift store half off day.

-Super Tak 85mm f/1.9, Super Tak 50mm f/1.4, Auto Tak 135mm f/3.5, Spotmatic, usual assortment of other bits for $200. Cases and caps for all but 50mm which just had caps.

-Canon FL 200mm f/3.5 minty, for $5, converted it to Canon EF mount and found out it flares like a mofo. Probably move this one on, or paperweight it.

I recently won an auction for a ZX-30 and "Vivitar Series 1" lens for $72. When I saw the pictures I was almost sure the lens was the 105mm 2.5 macro. After some checking around I knew it was. The lens has very little wear, and the glass is perfect. I guess the auction just stayed under the radar, and I'm glad.

The biggest size wise was the 300mm f/4.5 Tair-3s part of the Photosniper kit.

The most expensive LBA purchase was the 31mm Limited.

The biggest score (price/performance) is and was the Helios 44-2.

Lets see. Over a year of searching has found me a few good deals. These are memorable, among the many.

$28 got me an SMC Takumar 85mm F1.8 because the guy listed it as a 55mm F1.8 and had an out-of-focus picture so no else could tell. Luckily I have arcane knowledge of pentax lenses and knew that the shape didn't match a 55mm lens, so I took a risk on the fact that he may have misread the name under the attached filter. I turned out to be right!

$140 or so got me the following set of SMC takumars: 50/1.4, 28/3.5, 20/4.5, 35/2, 105/2.8. That was a good day.

$321 got me a new old stock FA 20mm F2.8. Not cheap but couldn't pass the chance up.

Biggest scores for me were:

1. Helios-44M for $20 shipped from the UK.
2. Yashica TL Electro-X, Tomioka-Yashinon 60mm f/2.8 Macro, and Vivitar 135mm f/2.8 (Komine) for $40.
3. Pentax MX (black) in near-mint condition w/ winder, mint Pentax-A 100mm f/2.8 w/ case, Pentax-A 35-70mm f/3.5-4.5, set of extension tubes, genuine Pentax M42->K adapter for $120
4. SMC Takumar 1000mm f/8 for $400 (was mis-listed as a 500mm, had an altered mount... long story)

Haha, all those stories make me feel less guilty about my own score.

Just a few months ago, I paid $1000 cash for all of the following:

FA 43mm f/1.9 limited
FA 77mm f/1.8 limited
K20D body
D-BG2 battery grip
2x D-LI50 batteries
AF 360 flash
Gary Fong lightsphere
Lowepro SlingShot 200 AW
2x 8GB SDHC cards

Lenses, body, and flash came with the original boxes and paper work, too!

No.
Also, I did not steal them but bought them at approximately 40% of market value. I could not afford to make such a large purchase if I was not going to turn most of them, but I am hoping to KEEP three lenses (effectively for free): SMC 50mm f1:1.2, SMC 85mm f1.8, FA 35mm f2.0. I'd never be able to afford to buy them outright, if not for this deal.

These stories are GREAT guys, keep 'em coming.

(By the way, I've found there are two basic kinds of people in this world: Those who are jealous of others when good things happen to them, and those that are happy for others when good fortune shines on them. I've also discovered that we are not usually victims of circumstance, but we are Makers of circumstance. )

This thread is bad for my LBA, I thought I had it under control lately, but now my misplaced sense of competitiveness urges me to try harder to find 'bargains'!

p.s. PentaJP that is an awesome steal, I guess you were just lucky. I couldn't believe a K20D body was in your list to start with :/
