My best score was actually a CBA score. A Rolleiflex F, type 5,f2.8 Xenotar Whiteface with every filter ever made for it, the closeup lenses, all in pristine cases and perfect condition-- $400. Thanks to a misspelled name and a crappy picture.

My best LBA scores are the ones I am not looking for but sometimes have to work at to make them true scores.. Some are better scores now than when I bought them.

K30 f2.8 now free
K135 $100 (did I pay too much?)
A50 f1:1.2 $250
FA77 Ltd $450 after bing rebates
FA31 Ltd $575

those lenses are great scores.

K30/2.8 = $200+ (up to $250) savings. ( I dont think it's worth $500)
K134 = $100 dollar savings
A50/1.2 = $250 savings
FA77 = $350 savings
FA31 = $400 savings

SMC Takumar 85mm/1.8
SMC Takumar 200mm/4

And not on the photo a 1.4x TC and Asahi Pentax bellows

I guess if money is factored in, the A 50mm f1.2 for $275 or maybe the Tamron 180mm f2.5 63B with PK/A adapter. Although, based on current prices, the FA 50mm f1.4 deserves honorable mention at $199 new/shipped.

Yeah, I got my FA50/1.4 at $150 shipped, used, before the prices rose. Pretty good deal in retrospect even if I eventually sold it.

I don't know if this qualifies, but I bought a K 28mm f3.5 in excellent + condition for 65 $ last month.

Few weeks back after buying my K-7, I ended up randomly wandering into a pawn shop, and found a Pentax SMC-A 28mm 2.8 in pretty minty condition for $39

I returned later to dive into the rest of their pentax mount lenses, and aside from a Pentax M 28mm (that was, oddly, double the price), all of their lenses were half-dead, filthy, or wouldn't mount properly on the K-7.

10$ for a Super program, AF 280T flash and SMC-A 50 f1.4. Plus a bunch of filters.

I sold the Super program for 35$, and eventually bought a F50 f1,7 for 100$, so I sold the A50 f1,4 for 135$.

So you could say I got paid a net of 60$ for the privilege to own an AF280T flash and an F50 f1,7.

got a rarely seen and sold FA135/2.8 for $300. I wouldn't call it exactly as a steal as the former owner got it for $200 (now, that's a real steal). but considering the rarity of this AF lens nowadays and makes it a lil bit more sought after in the used market due to the lack of supply for a fast autofocus lens in the 135mm focal length and the high demand for such focal length. for 1/3 of the price of a DA*50-135, and 1/2 the price of an FA135 copy in EX+++ condition, I got very good deal on a real gem of a lens.

Does that count?
Look, do not expect much, but someday I hope to have your own luck, even if I had to pay 500USD, but an A * 600, or an A * 400 f/2.8 is my wet dream.

Lucky you

Is this thread still alive?

... or are there no more "deals" since everyone is aware of "old" lenses nowadays

In the last 6 months:

pentax-k 85mm f1.8 $85
nikkor-h 85mm f1.8 $55
canond fd 50mm f1.2, 35mm f2, 100mm f2.8, 28mm f2.5, series1 viv 70-210 f3.5, viv 35-85mm, 2x F1 bodies, autowinder, flash, slide copier $75
cz jena flek 35mm f2.4, sonnar 135mm f3.5, original pentax-k to m42 adapter, wide atachment $100 (sold the wide attachment for $40)
pentax-k 200mm f2.5 w/ case $200
takumar 50mm f1.4 $10 (*2), one was the price of shipping from a very nice individual who wrote a very personal letter stating the history of the lens.
takumar 105mm f2.8, ghostless filter, hood $free (dropped off, too ...super nice seller)
takumar 100mm f4 macro, tak 50mm f1.4, tak 200mm f4 $120
vivitar 90mm f2.8 1:1 macro $55

I did feel guilty about a couple of those ...

Missed:
takumar 15mm rectilinear $250 (saw it on ebay for $1000+ later ... that hurt )
pentax-a 50mm f1.2 $30 (too slow to respond)
20mm flek + camera/other lenses $85
Many more that I have forced myself to forget haha

I haven't been as lucky as some of the others here, but I have been able to score some sweet deals through Ebay. Snagged a Sigma 28mm f/2.8 Super Wide from Amazon last week. On Ebay this weekend, I netted a M 135 f/3.5 for $22 shipped with original case, along with a Vivitar Series One 70-210 f/3.5 for $42 shipped. Found a guy in CL selling a Pentax K-1000 with a Tak 50 f/1.4 and Tokina 17 for $80, local pickup. We'll see how that deal turns out tomorrow, as I've got my fingers crossed that the Tak is one of the 8 element types. With the going rate on Taks, I know I've got some sweet deals if the condition of the lenses are as I hope they are.

Forgot to add, within the last few months, I snagged a Super Tak 50 in a camera store in San Luis Obispo for $75 after tax. Never thought I'd see a such a great price and a great piece of glass. Also, snagged a fantastic copy of the Vivitar 75-205 f/3.8 from KEH in BGN grade for $40 shipped. It all started about five months ago with finding a M50 1.7 from Adorama in fantastic condition for $52 shipped.
