eBay auction

If everyone had one of these, then I'd want a black one, but I like this anyway.

Yeah I saw that one. It's one for the display cabinet, as I'd be afraid to use it.
Way too much plastic for my taste, compared to the original K series version.

Plastic? I thought the Special was all-metal and had the same finish as the FA Limiteds.

I understand (and agree) about the K50/1.2, but I think you omitted your [/SARC]

I believe these were issued with LX 2000 limited edition.

Pentax LX Millenium 2000

possibly only as part of the complete Limited Edition camera package.

This photo from Boz's site bears a striking resemblance to the silver finished FA Limited lenses, doesn't it?

You can see that it is (c) Kim Coxon, 2005. Kim is the owner of Pentax-Manuals.com. Around late 2005 I was scanning my collection of Honeywell Spotmatic manuals and sending them to him before I sold my Pentax screwmount collection (I've suffered from this addiction for years).

I had a mint black Spot and Spot II pair that I offered Kim before I eBay'ed them - but he replied he had just purchased a mint LX 2000 complete presentation set and was funds-depleted.

Somewhere on my hard drive I have images of the "opening series" for that camera.
