Here is the same photo taken at f11 and f4 for comparison purposes:

Detail side-by-side comparison with no sharpening of shading PP available here: http://www.pbase.com/regor/testsda15

at f/11:

at f/4. Visibly softer on the edges and some vignetting. Keep in mind that lower edge is closer than the point of focus and the DOF narrower, therefore some of the softness is caused by being out of focus:

The edge is a little softer, as I would expect, bot nothing like what some of the reviews I read led me to believe.
Great shots by the way. "You must have a really good camera".

There are a few other threads on this lens - might want to do a search - but also a good bunch of samples in the DA Limited Club thread.

Here's a few from this week. The last one shows you don't really need f/2.8 for a wide angle lens in low light. The still subjects are sharp, the moving ones blurry - just how I wanted it.

i love this.

I wish pentax would make a 50mm 1.4 ltd lens. sure the FA one is great, but I want one with the same build quality of the ltd lenses and the DA* 55mm is a bit to big for my liking.
Funny, I wish they would make plastic version of the limited so I could buy them at 200-300$ instead of drooling over these threads .

Does that cat really have one blue and one green eye??? I suppose it's just a reflection - if not PP.
I think the cat lost it's other contact lens.

I've been thinking about the same thing, although i like really low light lenses and am considering the DA14mm F2.8 instead. Chunkier, but maybe more my style :P

I think there should be a few threads in this section with pics already? Maybe a little bit further down.
I have both DA 14 f/2.8 and Sigma 24 f/1.8. After handling the Sigma, the Pentax doesn't feel so chunky.
