DA 16-45mm cannot be marked down for distortion, in fact it should be listed as a Pro. At 16mm it has lower distortion than the 17-70's at 17mm. The superzooms (18-200-250 etc) have horrendous distortion in comparison, and the 18-55's have as much distortion at 18mm as the 16-45 at 16mm. The 16-45mm beats everything else on the list for wide-angle distortion.

Loud AF? I'd like to see some proof that the 16-45mm is any louder than the other screw drive lenses on the list.

I'd sell my Sigma 17-35 f/2.8-4 and Sigma 28-70 f/2.8 ... just to downsize to a Sigma 17-70 f/2.8-4.5

The 2 lenses I have listed above are BIG lenses and really take up room .. and are hefty on the body ... I like the sizing and IQ of the 17-70 ... also it's versatility as well.

My voteis for the 18-55 WR. On a file from a K20 you can always crop, but you can't add what is not in the frame, or make up for the shot you missed due to weather.

FWIW, I don't think the difference in speed between *any* of those lenses is worth a second thought - no more than half a stop at an given focal length. On some lenses you characterize as being slow, they are actually faster than others you didn't characterize that way (eg, 18-250 is faster at 55mm than 18-55 is). I also think the "checklist" format makes it hard to gaugae the *importance* of some differences: what are "XR markings", and is getting them worth giving up the 18-28 range? While I appreciate the work that went into this, I think a simple list of the basic specs only would be easier to parse.
