DA*60-250mm F4 ED SDm scores high ...

The DA*60-250 F4 hit a score of 92/100 at "Réponses Photo" No. 209, an European magazine.
This is found again in the magazine No. 213 (December 2009) summary of different brands' lenses which came out during 2009.
A very few lenses hit this high score ... even the "top brands", ie.: Canikons.
I was happy to see this report once again.

My experience with the 60-250 has been very positive. It is an excellent lens, even for a zoom.

So it should - it's a fine piece of engineering and worthy of the star nomenclature.

I thought my LBA was over after getting my FA43

Reports like this do nothing to make it go away

You could use the proceeds from selling your DA* 50-135 and DA 55-300 to fund the purchase of this lens.

I considered this DA*60-250 for a while, having had a focal "gap" between a DA*16-50 and the DA*300. That would have been a good choice but when I saw the Canadian prices, I just about fell off my chair!
So, I opted for a Tamron 70-200 f2.8, used and not yet arrived at my door.
When I saw all of the almost perfect reviews for the DA*60-250, I became a bit annoyed opting for another type of lens.
But, Hey! Time will tell if I made a good choice; the only thing I can add is that whoever picks a DA*60-250 will be happy!

Its not a bad idea on paper... but I use the 300mm end for Aussie Rules and Cricket as well as bird shooting and I love the speed and IQ of the DA* 50-135... I think the DA* 60-250 is a bit larger too so it would not really be a suitable replacement for that lens for what I use it for.

I have yet to part with any lens I have purchased, so at least my LBA is not wasted in buying unwanted lenses...and unwanted means lenses that would not get used

Cheers

Neil
