Best fisheye for my K-x ? (and "low" price)

Hello all
I'm new here, i just bought my K-x yesteraday \o/
I was wondering wich fisheye is good for the K-x ? The pentax one (17-28mm) i'm sure but it's very expensive (i'm a student...). So, what are my options ?

Thanks

You know, one thing about Fish eye lenses is that the degree of distortion you will never know by heart unless you take pics of your liking with them. Even old Takumar fish eyes are fairly privey, but they are fun.

If you want cheap, go for the Zenitar 16mm. You can get it in K-mount (full manual) for $200 new on Ebay.

Personally, I'd recommend the DA 10-17, used. Just such a fun lens to have and outstanding quality.

You should also consider the Samyang/Rokinon/Bower 8mm fisheye lens. It goes generally for around $300 US, but I recently picked up mine for about $240 US. It has excellent optics, and it has the "A" setting on the lens, which allows your camera to control metering and gives you the ability to use your flash properly, etc. I find this very useful and worth some extra money, compared to the fully manual Zenitar.

The DA 10-17 is a great lens and is reasonably priced new although it has gone up (like everything else) in the past year. It turns up used pretty often in the marketplace and on Ebay. The distortion isn't bad on the longer end although still there. I think one of the reasons they turn up often on the used market is because people buy them wanting a wide angle and they are cheaper than a rectilinear lens of the same size. I bought mine here in the Marketplace and the previous owner didn't think the distortion would be as much as it was. Just remember that a fisheye is "fishy" all the time although with proper composition and some cropping it may not be noticeable all the time.

Definitely get the Samyang/Vivitar/Bower/Polar/Falcon/Rokinon/Walimex/Whatever 8mm/6.5mm lens (they're all the same) that jeffery r alluded to.
