I thought this would be good for those people interested in the cheap gems like me.... I have been scouring lately for good cheapies, and for the money ive spent im sure i could have picked up a nice ltd prime, lol...

lens qualifications:
-cost was under 50 bucks shipped and after tax and all fees
-must fit k-mount pentax without an adapter (K, KA, KAF, or KAF2)
-can be auto or manual focus
-can be primes or zooms
Up until that second item I would have said you're going to end up duplicating about half of the Takumar Club thread. Good Lord, if you want excellent lenses dirt cheap you're certainly missing out on a lot if you turn your nose up at the M42 mount. Is inserting a simple adapter such an onerous burden?

Is it me or is there a noticeable absence of actual photos from these budget bastions?

Hey If you don't mind, how did you get rid of the fungus problem? I have a 50mm M I am contemplating the fix.

Thanks

Actually, I like good pictures of lenses...

Maybe this thread should be about lenses that are great and are typically bought for under $50... otherwise you will get posts from everyone who has gotten great deals (steals) on lenses that should cost FAR more... Just an idea.

After reading this thread my great deal is not so great

At a local market I bought a M50 1.7 with a KM attached (that's a KM not a Km!) all held together by the grungiest never ready case you ever saw.

The camera and lens were in excellent condition however

All for 35AUD.

Here are pictures of the aforementionned lenses:

The "10$-for-a-lens-a-flash-and-a-super program" lens

In my previous post I had forgotten to mention this beauty, grabbed for 47$ shipped if I remember correctly:

It is an incredible lens. Wonderful bokeh, great build quality, and well, it's f1,4...

I only sold it because I could replace it with a F 50 f1,7. AF in invaluable since I'm the only one around the house who can focus manually.
