I guarantee you.....Its a 1:2 Or its a 55 and not a 50......keep your fingers crossed for the 55 Tomioka.
I just purchased a Mamiya-Sekor E 50mm f1:2 S/N? 21127 for $10 USD at a used record shop in Tempe, Arizona. Looks in good shape. I haven't figured-out the mount type yet. I have attached a photo.Hope it appears. This is my first post, so I'm learning my way around. Regards, Bart

Nice! This might definitively dispel the F1.2 myth

They were made, but they're really rare.

55mm f1.2 yes, but hardly seen a 50mm f1.2 in m42.

You are aware that this post was made more than seven years ago, yes?

That's splitting hairs, really. They're both normal lenses and the difference between a 50mm and 55mm is pretty much inconsequential.

RE: Does Mamiya/Sekor 50mm f1.2 really exist?

I have attached a photo of a second Mamiya/Sekor 50mm f2 lens that i was able to randomly find in a second-hand store in the Phoenix Arizona area, over the past week. This lens is older (M42 screw mount). I have ordered an adapter so I can use this lens on my Samsung NX1 mirrorless digital camera. I will post test photographs to my photography blog and make a link available at that time.

Regards, Bart

The lens you're showing is f2, not a f1.2. Just in case.

Baard-Einar: You are correct. Like some others on this post, there is confusion if the original intent of the thread was locating a 1:1.2 or 1:2 lens (?) I posted two different 1:2 lens mounts of the Mamiya/Sekor, but maybe the 50mm 1:1.2 is still a mystery.

It exists, but is not a Tomioka. Old, old thread, but it does exist. Not on any lens chart either. Likely a prototype.
