thank you...

oh, by the way - having no "high end gitzo"
i used the 055 Manfrotto of my friend - made of aluminium

the manfrotto was visible trembling whith every gently touch, but - to my suprice -
most of the photos came out very well, as you can see

these are made with 1/500 - 1/2000

LOL. I had that and definitely wouldn't put this lens on it ;-)

Try using the delayed shutter release and put a bag on the bottom hook of the tripod head mounting area. That should stabilize it some more so your pictures will be even sharper.
Looks like you got a great lens, even w/o the filter...

no doubt, that whould be phantastic
anyway, the manfrotto got he chance just because i didn't want to put the beanbag into wet snow

a better tripod will come - maybe the feisol - i would say so far

A couple of photos shot with the FA* 600/4. The first one with the Z-1p and the 1.4X-L converter on Provia 100. The second with the MZ-S and Provia 400F at 800ISO.

When you get tired of the lens, I'll send you the cost of shipping it to me, here in the Canadian Rocky Mountains! Beautiful images. Well Done!

I scored my 600 F4 for Pentax 6x7 for about 900£ (British) with shipping to France. At the same time, I found the same lens for 2400€ (with PK adapter)

The lens is in great shape and came with case, and yes, I had to buy a new tripod, a new head and a bag. I took a video bag with a trolley as I intend to do mostly cityscapes. I will try to do a full review of the setup when I finish to get the hand on it.

The super-tele class is full hardware porn...
