Sigma 180mm macro lens

I understand that Sigma has discontinued its 180mm macro lens for the Pentax. Does anyone know if it's to be replaced? If not, does anyone know another manufacturer making a long macro lens for Pentax mount?

If you ask me, Sigma's decision to discontinue this lens puts a huge hole in the lens lineups for any of us who wish to shoot Macro with our Pentax DSLRs. I have been saving for this lens, in the mean time utilizing my Tamron 90mm for all my macro shooting. There has been much discussion about the Sigma 150mm 2.8 macro lens being made available in Pentax mount, but that is now over a year old. As far as I know, there is no other discussion about a comparably long macro lens becoming available in Pentax mount.

It would be a shame if Sigma stopped making the 180 for Pentax mt. Have played with the Sigma and its a beautiful lens. If I didn't have the Pentax A*200 macro, would buy one in a minute. Long macros do so much for outdoor closeup photography. Would never be without one.

thanks

I've searched all the usually online USA stores and they all say the same thing: discontinued.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought someone recently had contacted Sigma and found out that there was no plan to introduce their 150 for Pentax mount? For certain requirements, such as fast long glass (300/2.8, etc.) and big macros, Sigma has been pretty much the only source of current production, for Pentax users. So that would be unfortunate if they really are discontinuing the 180 as well.
