Lens Tint

I recently acquired a 28-80mm Power Zoom lens which gives a slight but noticeable warm tint compared to my other lens. I can't see that a filter has been fitted. Has anyone any suggestions?

second to that.

On longer thought:
It's absolutely normal that lenses have different rendering. Especially between manufactorers. F.e. Sigma is known to have colder rendering than Pentax glass, etc.
Even withing Pentax glass there are differences, especially between the different series. Reason behind it are different coatings. From my personal experience:
DA lenses are very warm and slightly towards magenta
FA are the most neutral I've used, if than ever so slightly towards yellow
F (only had one) was very cold
K are as warm as DAs but withouth that magenta tint.

Yes, what are you basing this "tint" on?

Also, don't discount the possibility that some of the difference is just a matter of the camera choosing a different WB when using AWB (or one of the presets with the option to allow the camera to fine tune, on cameras that support that).

Hey Stan,
What model lens is it?
I find that my M series lenses (M50 and M400) give a slightly warm feeling, along with their own 'special' rendering.
I also find that my 'A' lens (A50) gives a different look.
And of course my DA's have another look altogether, more 'modern' with a different style of rendering...

OK looks like axl has already mentioned the same thing...
