Tokina 135mm f2.8

I have purchased an ME super from ebay which came with a 50mm f1.4 and a 28mm f2.8 pentax lenses. I basically purchased for these two lenses but it also comes with a "Tokina 128mm f2.8" ... does anyone know anything about this lens ?

I have searched google & the forums but cannot find any info so I am wondering if the description is wrong ?

What they probably meant to say was Tokina 135mm f2.8. But you can never really tell with some eBay sellers. There is a certain class of sellers that can't be bothered to take any time with photos, descriptions, questions, packing or shipping. I think they spend a lot of time wondering why they don't make any money.

Anyway, the lens is probably pretty good. Tokina made some 135mm lenses for Vivitar at the same time which were decent in their class. The basic 135mm f2.8 category was very crowded, so there was a lot of competition.

I think your correct. The item description must be wrong. I managed to find a picture of the tokina 135mm f2.8 (on the left) and ebay one looks the same :

The images on the ebay listing were very bad but the lenses were super cheap so I thought I would take a gamble on them. One guy says it is very close the pentax in terms of build & image quality. Bonus

good to hear as I had no idea what that lens was. From what I have been reading ( http://www.flickr.com/groups/365610@N21/discuss/72157612060167473/ ), the tokina 135mm is very good & I don't have any fast lenses over 50mm so it will be really handy ....just hope they are all in good condition as they are now in the post. I got :

pentax 50mm f1.4 (not sure but I think its the M version)
pentax 28mm f2.8
tokina 135mm f2.8
sigma 70-230mm Zoom f4
me super
all with filters & a few other bits

For about $150 USD which is quite cheap for Australia
