You've always been practical with your LBA though. You consolidate to accumulate.

To the OP,
If getting the FA 31 is more trouble than it's worth but you're still lusting for it, read this discussion.

There appears to be a common "factor" here...

This article is the reason I bought the DA 35 Ltd in the first place. It's an excellent lens, but not FF capable. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the D3 allows the user to select between FF and APS-C equivalent format. Thus, if Pentax ever produce a FF camra, I guess thet would do something similar so we can use our DA lenses. This is even more likely since Pentax does not have that many FF lens in production right now. So here is how I see it. If I have a DA 35, I can only use the FF camera in APS-C format. If I have a FA 31, I can use it in both format. It becomes a 46mm equivalent in APS-C (normal FOV) and remains a 31mm (wide angle) in FF. Thus, you gt two lenses for the price of one. And both FOV are usefull. Aain, I might be wrong and feel free to correct me if it is the case.

Although irrational expenses on my part are often discouraged, my wife actually encouraged me to buy a lens, at least once.

The hell with it, I just ordered my FA 31. It should arrive monday so I still have three days to tell my wife. This is your last chance to save me. In the meantime, I must try to sell my DA 35!

I can't cope with this anymore. I have a DA 35 that I enjoy very much, but the FA 31 keeps calling my name. I hear it's voice all the time. I'm going crazy. Please, can anyone convince me I should not sell my DA 35 to finance the purchase of the "lady queen" and thus save my marriage. If not, give me a good reason to buy it so that I can put a stop to all this.
Open up your wallet and shout into it.. If it echos back from being empty, keep your DA35 and put the 31 on hold until your marriage is more willing to accept the purchase. If you find a bargain on the 31mm (hey, It Could Happen), then by all means go for it. For now though, I'd say bird in the hand.

Edit: Didn't read your most recent post before making mine. Sell your DA35 for more than you paid for it and then tell her how cheap the 31mm was because of it. Or tell her how much the lens will accent her beauty when you take photos of her (don't tell her it's a 'Wide' lens though). Of course, if you're living in the garage with the dog, it may not matter. No, I'm not married, can you tell?? On the upside, the 31mm is not marked on the inside. So if she never sees the side of it, she may not notice those pretty letter, 31mm with the red Limited.. It's truly a gem.
