help me on Pentax lens hoods, please

I have used Nikon lens hoods for a while and got used to how it is reverse mounted. Since there are threads at the back end, I could put lens caps on top quite easily.

I recently bought a couple of Pentax hoods. When I reserve mount them on the lens, there are no threads at the back end of the lens hood.

My question is how you have put your lens caps on?

On the left of the photo is the Nikon hood. On the right is the Pentax hood.

Thanks in advance.

I can't tell which hood that is, but the reversible hoods I know (for the kit zooms) both allow caps to be used when reversed.

thanks

The kit lens hood does not rely on the filter thread. They are bayonet mounted. What I have are older and thread mounted hoods.
