Thought I would share a photo taken with the horusbennu 50mm f1.7.
I'm still in the learning phase, and felt like the original image was underexposed.

Good lens.

I received this lens today. Well, it's made in China and it looks to be a good value for the $.
Nothing very special about it and if there was one thing bad that stands out, I'd say slightly tight focus ring, although it might get smoother as time goes by.
All in all, I say it's a good buy.

Few test pic (didn't have a whole lot time today). If interested I can take/post some more.

Outside
F 2.0, ISO 200, shutter at 250/sec.

This one is indoor (little bit sharpened).
F16, ISO 200, Flash -2.0, shutter at 380 or so (not exactly sure)
Slightly edited (bright few points + cropped about 80% slightly sharpened)

Few more photos taken last hour.
somewhat edited in PS

Sorry folks...I still think the H/B is overpriced for a lens lacking the A contacts. There are better A-contact fast 50s out there used for the same or less money (e.g. Pentax-A 50/1.7). The actual market value of the H/B new should be in about the $35 or less range. I hope that nobody is offended if I add that the lens is ugly as dirt and gaudy.

I'm not feeling it for this lens, kinda underwhelming. honestly, the images makes me love my 18-55 WR which I don't even like at all.

I must say, the more I play with this lens the more I like it.
As a matter of fact, I like it even better than my Pentax-FA 1.4
I don't intend on collecting 50's so I'm even contemplating on selling my FA 1.4 and keeping this one.
As to it not being Auto. In a way I like manual better. It focuses more precise and keeps battery life nearly forever and maybe even prolongs camera life.

Few more test shots early this morning. Drive from work, Sunrise.

This lens resists flare excellent, without the filter.

Light fixture outside.
