Mid Range Zoom - Tamron 24-135mm or Pentax F 35-135mm?

Hullo folks!

I am looking to buy a mid-range zoom for general purpose shooting. For want of options, am down to either the Tamron 24-135 or the Pentax F 35-135.

I have thought of the 50-200 but find it too slow at 200mm. (The Tamron 24-135 is pedestran in this respect too but atleast it gives one 24mm; and decent close focus at 135mm!)

Advice on either or any other lens is welcome, please!

Thank you.
