Pentax-FA 28-70 F4 VS Tamron 28-75 F2.8

Which one should I get? I can't find any pentax 28-70 F4 resoultion test. I've only heard, that it's prety sharp lens, but got to be stopped down. The same is with tamron, but tamron is faster.
Please, help me! Is it worth to spend money for Tamron? I would realy like to get fast zoom, but if Pentax F4 gives me the same IQ, I could live without large aperture.

Pentax :
+
1) someone said it's ok lens,
2) much cheaper than tamron (I could afford something else),
3)...
-
1) someone whispered about vignetting problems,
2) not so fast,
3)...

Tamron :
+
1) sharp,
2) fast,
3)...
-
1) expensive
2) harder to find (for me)
3)...

RE:

If you absolutely have to have a faster lens for whatever reason then I would get the Tamron 28-75 F2.8

I am actually dreaming the day that Tamron creates a 17-50 F2.8 lens for the Pentax K mount.

the pentax 28-70 I had i believe was a bad copy and was very soft and sad. apparently build quality is not real good.

My tamron 28-75 however, I would still be happy with it as far as price vs performance if I had paid double or more for it. It really is a nice lens and well worth the money.

just my opinion

Definitely SP28-75/2.8, assuming it's not a lemon. FA28-70/4AL is know to self-destruct. Buy it only if you are prepare for the loss.

clearly the pentax lens blows right? if a guy on a forum says they break easily i should be expecting mine to randomly fall apart any day now i guess

you should ignore the pics i'm posting and rely only on that particular post. i'm kicking myself for buying this lens now. lol.
