Looking for a good TC

Picked up a APO Manual 400mm/5.6 Sigma (PKR mount) recently. However I am really having a hard time filling the frame with smaller birds. I want to grab a 1.4 or 1.5 TC. Other then the new Sigma 1.4x DG EX APO. Do any high quality TC exist other then the newest models?

The Tamron 1.4x Pz-AF TC is probably your best bet. I am also a very big supporter of the Promaster 1.7x Pz-AF TC -- basically the same IQ, with a bit longer reach.

It's the same as the Tamron 1.4x from what I've read, if we're talking about the same TC.
