My dream lens currently would be one I mentioned in another thread: A rectilinear ultra-wide-angle pancake lens, with a focal length around 8-11mm (definitely not over 12mm) and an aperture around f/4. If this happened, and it was sharp edge to edge, I would buy it immediately no matter what it cost (almost).

DA* 135/2.5 (same optical design as the K135/2.5)

and a remake of the DA* 200mm with the K200/2.5 optical design.
and a remake of the K85/1.8 would be nice too. Since it's a dream, why don't they release all 3 as a new trio, kind of like the FA ltds. All metal construction, SDM2 and switchable to use the screw, usable on FF.....

130 to 150 Macro

…would be great for insects. F 2.8, without much loss of focal lenght at macro scale (the Sigma 180 goes down to about 120 at 1:1, the 105 to about 70); IF is not important, more important is maintaining the working distance, and not much more than half a kg of weight (the Sigma 150 has almost 1 kg; and is not made for Pentax).

Regards - Klaus

I would LOVE to see a 16-50 f2.8 Tilt Shift lens. Now, that is a lens I would pay for...

I don't even think in terms of ultra lenses anymore. I still want a fast, reasonably priced prime at about the 28mm point - but I would be okay with anything up to 35mm, f/2.0 or faster. $300 or less, please.

Also, I want the Pentax version of the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens. If they want to make it WR as well, fantastic. I'm seeing it as a DA. If they want to improve the SDM, fine - then it can be a DA*. But unless there's an SDM II, they can leave SDM off entirely.

In a perfect world, there'd also be a DA or DA* 135-400mm. I can't figure the 60-250 when I already have a 50-135.

Since we're dreaming, how about a 18-250mm f/1.2.

Short of that, a new but really fast tele prime would be my first choice, maybe a new 400mm f/2.8.

It's called DA 14 f/2.8. It may not be "Limited" but it has metal construction.

Me too. I had the first worrying sign of SDM issues when the focus was stuck at first shot (but then no problem afterwards... a case of the thick lube syndrome???).

So my wish would be 50-135 with no SDM; or with SDM II, a ring-type motor.

Not sure of how doable this lens would be, but I would not mind carrying around a 10-70mm f2.0 WR lens.
