Hi,

I'm interested in purchasing a genuine Pentax M42 to K mount adapter. I've heard way too many horror stories with the cheap aftermarket ones so I want to play it safe. The problem is that I can not order from the Pentax website. For some reason shipping is calculated to be about the same as the adapter itself. I checked Adorama and B&H but none carry the original adapter. The only seller carrying it in Aamzon only ships to "lower 48". What's the deal? It is not like they are going to deliver it themselves swimming....
I placed a wanted ad months ago but nothing.
Any recommendations for an online retailer?

Pentax Imaging (Pentax USA) is the best place. They currently have it in stock according to the site.

Simply because I'm in the US but not in the lower 48....
That's a bad joke.

If you live in norway and want to buy from the Pentax importer the adapter goes for 119 US $ inc. shipping. So you guys stop complaining

Funny you mention Pentax Webstore to get this item because it was not available when I checked for the past two weeks.
On top of that, they ask to send a request (email) to that effect but, as usual, they never reply.
Might as well keep looking on eBay.
