A good fish-eye lens?

So, anyone know a good fisheye lens with nice optical properties ( "good" vignetting, little chromatic aberration )?

I've been looking Peleng 3.5/8AK but cant find any good sample photos.

I really like the Pentax DA 10-17 fisheye. I really find nothing wrong with it. It is a fun lens, with good IQ. I really can't point to any negatives.

Fish-Eye Lenses

I really like the Pentax DA 10-17, and the MF Zenitar MC 16/2.8
Fish-Eye Lenses.

I have the manual focus Rokinon 8mm fisheye and find it to be very good. It has the contacts to meter with the camera. Sold as rokinon, samyang, opteka, bower, etc. review here:

I love my 10-17mm but it does have a lot of purple fringing. I often end up using a brush with about -60 saturation or so in Lightroom to remove it. I don't think my Zenitar is quite as bad with PF - but of course, it's not as wide and it's a prime.

I love fisheyes so I've been curious how the Samyang compares in terms of PF, and in general.

I've recently acquired a Pentax 10-17mm fisheye, which has rarely been off my camera since.

It's quite versatile for a fisheye too, very pronounced fisheye effect at 10mm, less so at 17mm, and also close focusing 15-20cm.

Can be purchased relatively cheaply too, plus it feels very well made.

I corrected your post!

Have you ever tried close focus with that lens? You can pretty much touch the front element before focus is lost...of course the image is still nowhere near macro size (1:1, 1:2 etc).

Oh yeah, definitely another vote for the 10-17mm, so versatile. The zenitar is nice, reasonable build quality but on aps-c sensors at 16mm it has lost alot of the fisheye effect. The 10-17mm being a zoom has a great range even suitable for landscape (at 17mm), and it goes all the way out to, well, obscene, haha.

I have the 6.5mm Opteka and 15mm Sigma F2.8 FF fisheye. I also have the 10-24mm Tamron.
