How much is this set of Takumars worth? (35, 50, 135)

Hi all,

An old neighbor is selling this stuff. I am hoping you can help me decide how much this kit is worth:

+Super Multi Coated Takumar 35mm/F3.5
+Super Multi Coated Takumar 50mm/F1.4
+Super Multi Coated Takumar 135mm/F3.5
+Pentax Spotmatic II
+Vivitar 283 Thrysistor Flash (battery pack needs replacing ... available on eBay)
+Misc filters

Assume acceptably functional quality, everything works (except for the battery pack), assume lenses have no oil or fungus or scratches.

I'm really only interested in the lenses. I'm due to get a k-x in a couple of weeks and am dying to play with some nice old primes.

Here's how I peg the values, when I compare the Lens DB versus eBay etc:

+35mm/F3.5 ... $30-40
+50mm/F1.4 ... $50-70
+135mm/F3.5 ... $20-40
+Pentax Spotmatic II ... $10-30
+Vivitar 283 ... $0 (because I need to buy a battery pack)
+Misc filters ... $3

What do you think?
Thanks for your thoughts!

Sam

ig yoou get them for that price it is a bargin.

the smc tak 50 F1.4 will go for a lot more usually, so will the 135. can;t comment on the 35mm as there are a lot of 35mm F2s out there which are much faster and excellent lenses.

+Vivitar 283 Thrysistor Flash (battery pack needs replacing ... available on eBay) $0

I'd say the high end of your estimates would be a very fair price. You might boost the 50/1.4 a few bucks, though.

just one thing to keep in mind when peeping at the lens-db: it lumps super-takumars with s-m-c takumars. S-M-C's tend to get the highest prices of all the takumars, because they have the newer coatings and at least in my case a preference for the older style focusing barrel.

I would say your high end are reasonable prices. Depending on how fast you want to sell them you could probably get a little more if you parted and waited for the right buyer; though on ebay I have seen the 50/1.4 fetch some pretty hard prices, depending on camera releases.

thanks!

Thanks so much for the fast responses.
I've got to wait for a couple bucks to free up and then we'll see if I can come to an agreement with the seller.

You guys are awesome!
