What is the widest shift lens available for Pentax?

I have to say I dream of the Canon TS-E 17mm f/4 L... But I cannot imagine switching to Canon.

Knowing that EOS mount is not compatible with K mount, I guess I can forget the idea of having this lens on my K-7.

Therefore the following question: What would be the widest shift lens mountable on a Pentax DSLR? Note that I don't care about tilt, I just want to be able to shift for my architecture shots.

I know about the Pentax SMC-K 28mm f3.5 Shift, but 28mm isn't exactly what I would call wide on a DSLR...

Is there any other option? A lens from another brand which would keep infinity focus with an adapter? An old M42? Anything?

Thanks!

I have an Olympus Zuiko 35mm f/2.8 shift lens which I converted to Pentax K mount without losing infinity focus - details here https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/763966-post19.html. I know that this isn't wide but Olympus also produced a 24mm shift lens - Perspective Control (PC) Lense - Zuiko Shift 24mm f/3.5. All of the Zuiko lenses I have looked at so far have exactly the same mount and so I would be willing to bet that the 24mm shift lens could be adaped in exactly the same way. These lenses were stop down aperture only so there is no loss of funtionality with the conversion. There is one on ebay at the moment but I think it will go for quite a lot - Olympus Zuiko 24mm f3.5 Shift Lens. Simply Spectacular! on eBay (end time 22-Feb-10 02:00:10 GMT)

Made by Pentax, the 28mm will be the widest.

I believe the people that made this 80mm also has a 35mm for about 2x the money.

That is the Arax 80 T/S. You can see the Arax 35 T/S here:

Thanks for your replies guys... So it seems there is no real wide-angle shift lens available for K mount, what a pity...
I guess as long as we don't see a FF Pentax body we won't have any hope to see such a lens to become available. Hmmmm....

I the only way I can think of is if you can find a wide lens with Pentacon Six mount and use a tilt or shift adapter.

The only other thing I can think of is the Pentacon Six mount and use a tilt or shift adapter. The Zodiac-8 30mm and MC Arsat 30mm fisheye lenses come in Pentacon 6 mount. They are for medium format.

The disadvantage of this is that it is not as wide as the pentax lens and like most medium format lenses of this length is fisheye. If you require a shift lens to correct perspective distortion in camera then there is little point in getting a lens with fisheye distortion.
Your best bet is probably to get a wide angle shift lens for a different mount and convert it. Of the shift lenses wider than 28mm that I have seen the Zuiko 24mm is probably the easyest to convert and although it is expensive it is probably still about the cheepest option. The only wider one I have come across is the Canon 17mm you mentioned and this is neither cheep or easy (even possible?) to convert whilst maintaining infinity focus.

True about the fish-eye and shift. I've been thinking about a tilt lens and that wouldn't be as big of an issue for what I've been looking into.
