Sears lens with PK on aperture ring (K mount??)

Someone I know out of town, has a sears 135mm 2.8 that I may take off his hands except for the fact that he isnt sure of the mount..

On the aperture ring though, ring beside the f2.8 is is PK in white letters just as the f-stops are...does this mean it is K mount???

I thought it did, but I figured I would check with the experts.

Yeap, PK stands for Pentax K mount. There are variants out there on third party lenses such as P/KA (with A setting) and P/KR (with Ricoh pin setting) etc.

It is a PK mount and that lens is a very nice, low cost 135mm prime. Especially if it's the macro version.

If he has the Sears 28mm/2.8 Macro, get that too.

thanks guys for the help! I knew you would know.

Just wanted to be sure before I got my hands on it. About a month back I got a SMC 50mm 1.7 and have fallen in love with manual lenses. Figured I could get some very solid lenses at an awesome price (poor graduate student marrying a doctoral student)
