Just received the Angenieux 90mm 1.8

Just got the Angenieux 90 1.8 (m42) with minimal abrasions. Will do some field testing tomorrow!

Sounds good, looking forward to seeing how you make out. I'm sure a few here would like to see some pics of the lens itself...

I forgot that I had my wife take a quick shot to update my Deviantid on DA. That's with the K7.

Ya, you don't really want to know what I paid for this......well ok. I found it in a grooup of lenses for a K1000. It came with a 50 2.0, CPC 28 2.8 macro, Pentax 75-150 and Soligor 78-210. All for $437 shipped.

That's quite the find, an Angenieux doesn't really fit in with the rest of the equipment you bought it with.

Not at all. Probably was only a couple hundred bucks in the 70's.the cpc had a $ 200 used store tag on it From the 70's,otherwise it would have been less.

You're a lucky guy, that seems to be a nice lens! Any ideas as to its optical layout? I have lots of fast 75~90mm lenses (around 16 now I think) but I have never heard of this one. Maybe I should look a little harder

Captain Jacks Angenieux Lens Page
here's what happens when you turn the aperture ring too far. The lens is easy to take apart and clean, and the aperture does not click into place, but is smooth from 1.8 to 22

You have one of the most famous angenieux lenses.

Perhaps the rendering in B&W can be better than the color one, but as the previous member said, it must be analized at the campus.

Ok so i went out this afternoon and shot a few with the Angenieux. I left them alone no PP, just the standard Pentax underexposure...K7. I'll convert to B&W with this lens I'm sure. Great for it.
