I'll get some photos out soon, but the OS system doesn't exist in the Pentax mount. The in-camera Shake Reduction of the Pentax systems negates the need for the in-lens system.
It does now!

Sigma's just announced the APO 50-500mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM, you can read about it HERE

This would probably explain the lack of stock for the Bigma.

Ok, Pentax uses the in camera SR system as does Sony. Nikon and Canon use the in-lens system. Sigma lenses in the Pentax mount do not have image stabilization. If you doubt this, contact Sigma.

Yes, I read that. The Bigma for Pentax will come with the HSM now. I wonder when it will ship?

Sigma lenses for Pentax, Sony, and Olympus cameras do now in fact have OS as well as HSM. If you doubt this just read the link I provided or this one testing it in action Cool Stabilization test with surprises: Lens vs Sensor-shift (Pentax K7 and Olympus E-P1) - 1001 Noisy Cameras.

I was going too say that but you got there first.

Curiously the new Bigma is not an EX (Sigma's better IQ optics) and I believe the old one was.

As I understand it, they are now only using the EX on non-variable aperture lenses, where before it indicated the finish on the lens body.

It appears that Sigma is going to only make OS lenses. That may be a plus on the Bigma but on the shorter glass, we end up paying for something we don't need. It's going to save Sigma quite a bit so I can understand why they are doing it. It started with the 70-300, then the 17-70. It has also raised the prices considerably so Sigma lenses may not be as attractive alternative as they once were, at least for Pentax users.

Hi,
I hope that the price will not be important ...
