What lens is this? SMC-M 28/2.8? 2.0?

Hi everbody,

This lens caught my attention today (LBA hooray!). The seller sais it is an M 28/2.8 but I noticed that the aperture ring goes up to 2. It seems to be too small for an 28/2.0 though, the focus ring on the 2.0 is way bigger.
Besides, on any pictures I could find of M 28s the "8" on the aperture ring is coloured in orange which is not the case on this lens.

Any ideas what lens this is? Are there several versions of the 2.0 out there? Or is it just a 2.8 version 1 whose aperture ring has been replaced by one of a 2.0 lens (for whatever reason)?

for comparison, the 28/2.8 v1 and the 28/2.0:
M 28/2.8 (version 1)
M 28/2

It's a Pentax-M 50mm f2.0. The seller is a moron.

I probably should back that post up. Here's a link to Bojidar's site, with the focus ring conveniently set to almost the same position, showing most of the same distance scale markings:

M 50/2

The style is a K or M lens. There aren't a lot of f2 lenses to choose from:
K28/2
M28/2
K35/2
M35/2
M50/2
K55/2
M85/2

The lack of a red 8 (very observant of you) rules out all the wide angles. The number of rows of rectangular blocks on the focus grip rules out the M85/2 and the 28mm lenses. It can't be a K55/2 because it has a 49mm filter screwed onto it - the K55/2 uses 52mm filters. And of course the distance scale markings match.

Damn you! You just scattered all my naive hopes on a dirt cheap 28/2.0!

No, seriously, it did not come to my mind that this could be a picture of a whole different lens. Thanks for helping!

I think I just bought one for $7, but it's a Vivitar, Minolta mount and I haven't gotten it in the mail yet. I might be unconsciously competing with Lowell Goudge.
