55-300 DA L vs DA performance?

Hi,

I just ordered the DA L 55-300 and I can't wait to get it. Other than the mount been plastic, not metal and no hood included (I can fix that) and no quick shift focus (I don't have much use for it), is there any difference in performance? or IQ? etc?

Thanks,

Havent used the L version personally but there should not be any differences other than the ones you mentioned, optically it is the same and it uses the same focus drive.

My friend, you will be thrilled with the quality of the 55-300 DA L. I took a gamble on it and am very happy with the lens. Close up to long tele, it is amazing in its clarity. Have fun with it!!
