Question on lens compatibility the other way around

Hi,

I know I can use any lens ever made in the latest camera. But how about the other way around? newer lenses in older cameras?
I'm trying to find out what lenses I CAN NOT use in my K100DS. I understand I can not use SDM. Is that correct? Anything else I should be aware of before buying lenses for K100DS? This sucker is bulletproof so I guess it will be around for a long time.

If yours is indeed the "Super", then it *can* use SDM. So there's nothing too new for it. Your film cameras, of course, won't work so well with most newer lenses (unelss they happen to cover FF and have aperture rings - but few recent lenses for Pentax do).
