Hi all,

I just ordered the subjected lens, paying $670 Canadian for it. Is that a good price? I've seen all kind of different price quote online so I no longer know what is a good price

For that price, it is reasonable currently.

I paid close to that for a used example last year. I'd say you did very well. Oh, and you will love this lens.

Vinzer, you are from the Phillipines? The reason why I ask this is that, the place I am ordering the lens from said it will take 5 weeks for it to arrive since its coming from the Phillipines, so I take that it will be cheaper to get it from your local store?

I've seen some astonishing images produced by this lens, the photographer himself did a great job, but still the effect is so fine that I don't think you can find a used one that easy, I don't see anyone parting such a fine lens....

What?! *@##$! How come we can't get it cheaper here?

I do know Pentax has a manufacturing plant here in the Philippines (Cebu in particular), but for some reason, we don't get stuff as easily here than people in other countries (try waiting 4 months for a DA 55-200 to arrive in the local distributor). As I've said before, I blame the local distributor and not Pentax.

And yeah, I doubt anyone would sell his/her 77 LTD without a struggle or a huge price tag. It's definitely a keeper.

For reference, are you buying it new? I'm gonna go complain to my local dealer if they can't give me that price for it.
