Is the Silver FA 31mm still being produced?

I think I'm getting ready to spring for the FA 31MM (hoping my bonus comes in soon.)
I see it available from Prodigital2000 from time to time, although not right now.
Is it still being produced?

By the way, I have the FA 43mm, which I think is great, and the DA 21mm, so it appears that the 31mm would fit right in.

Thanks,
David

I wonder whether the 77mm would bring more diversity.

I think they have some available (made in Japan version) at Prodigital2000, a reputable Ebay seller.

The silver ltd may be scarce at the moment due to the special edition of the K-7 that's coming out.

Silver lenses

The silver K-7 sure looks nice.
they do look great with a silver limited lens.

Are the silver lens just not shipped to the US?
I don't see them for sale anywhere here in the US.

I got a silver 77mm Ltd from Prodigital. Henry's of Toronto have several on eBay right now. There was indeed an 31mm at Prodigital a few days ago but is gone. Looks like they're made in Vietnam, and clearly get to Canada at least.

Seriously, given you have the 40mm, can you elaborate on where does the 31mm fit the lineup? Or is it the legendary-ness? One can buy 2 less legendary 35mm for that!

Edit: I think the right accessorizing strategy is not to pay the extra $550 for the limited K7, but rather wait until a next model is offered in both black and silver to begin with.

I called Prodigital some time ago when they didn't have an item listed that I wanted. Their phone number is listed in the ebay store....

For me, the 31mm limited is the one I used most out of the three FA limited. It is occupying a space none of the other lens can do a good job in low night photography and tight spaces. The other lenses are either not fast enough (I often used f2 or f2.2, so 2.8 is not going to cut it) or wide enough. If there is a FA 28mm f2, that might be good, but that would be hard to find and perhaps equally expensive.

They have been available in the recent past. I think its a temporary thing.

Turns out, for a silver one from Canada, you lose on the currency conversion, pay extra, and shipping is more. So a black from B&H may save for a B+W filter... or two. But the silver does look cool on a black K7. And may come into play with a silver body.

Braver makes some good points, and I appreciate all of the comments.
I don't have the 40, I have the 43 and 21. I thought a 31 fits in nicely with those two.
(I also have the 70.)
I like the speed of the 31 vs. the 35, as well as the slightly wider range.
Maybe it is not worth the price difference. That is something for me to think about.
I will check out the price difference against the black model at B&H. There is a limit to how much premium I would spend for the silver vs. the black.

Does B&H ever stock the silver one? I can't recall seeing it there.

Thanks,
David

Do you really think so? I find the silver plastic clashes with the silver of the lens.
