I went with 49mm UV or skylight filter and pinch cap. No issues. Mine finds its way onto film bodies every now and then, so I can justify the UV.

Look for a pinch cap on eBay (30mm I think?). Keep your screw-on cap in the box, and enjoy the lens.

Sensei makes a 30.5mm cap that is a slide on type cap for under $5 at B&H.
