ChinaLim or HorusBennu 50mm F1.7 for Pentax PK

Dear Sirs,

Three weeks ago I have bought ChinaLim HorusBennu 50mm F1.7 for Pentax PK and two days use it.

Haha, I had never heard of this manufacturer so I googled a bit.

Not only do they call it "Limited", but they stuck a green star on there as well? Gotta love those knock-off marketing tactics!

Anyway, pretty sure this is the same lens also known as "Phenix" and "Vivitar" and sold with various plastic entry-level K-mount analog SLR's these days:

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I find this lens quite interesting. Aparently there is a European eBay seller who has free shipping worldwide.

Found out from a Korean friend that the brand is Korean . . .

I have Phenix 52mm f/1.7 MF (without a limited). I just recently purchased the item. It doesn't produce a good picture. It has f/1.7 to 22 stops but when you adjust to f/22 it still look like f/1.7 not sure if this is a camera issue or lens.

I'm using Pentax K-x

Read the sticky about using manual lenses on DSLR cameras. It will let you know why you don't stop down when you shoot. You must shoot M for Manual only. Then you play games to get metering.
