Those are much nicer examples of this combination. The detail on that goose is impressive.
Two things about that shot impressed me - the detail in the goose, and that the 1.7X auto focused the BIF shot perfectly. I was very pleasantly surprised - I did not expect as good as I got from the combo. I'll add more to the set later, including this one:

Here is a mule deer doe and 100% crop taken deep in the shady woods. 1/90 @ f/6.7, ISO 400, Pattern Metering, SR on at 200mm, lens at 135mm (230mm with TC).

Added more shots to my set on Flickr

I've added seven more images to the 1.7 + 50-135 set on Flickr for your perusal. Enjoy! Critique! Criticize!

F 1.7X AF + DA* 50-135 f/2.8 - a set on Flickr

PS I have a Pentax A 1.4X-S converter, also. hmmmm.

Really amazed at the detail you captured.

Did you purposely convert to sRGB before uploading?

Yes. I did convert to sRGB because they were for screen, and were JPEGs. I applied no post processing at all except LR 2.6 Export to full size JPG, sRGB, Sharpen for screen. I even bypassed DxO (which I usually use) on the grounds that it does not recognize the combination, and I would not gain much. My camera is set to PEF + Adobe RBG. PM me if you want to see one of them original and I'll email you the PEF.

Sorry for the delayed reply - we went to the USA today just to get out of the house.
