I find the DA* 50-135mm is a nice length for shots of domestic animals.

The Tamron 500mm f/8 mirror lens with the 2X converter (therefore 1000mm f/16). Handheld (I did not breathe that day like, ever) 1/1000. I want to learn how to smooth this rather nervous bokeh, cause otherwise this lens is just as advertised - awesome mirror lens

The Bigma can produce surprisingly good bokeh



360 mm; 1/500 sec at f / 9.5



500 mm; 1/125 sec at f / 11

But I have to say that the Pentax A 70-210mm f/4 is pretty sweet for bokeh - especially for a zoom
