Very cool !

Thanks for the info, roy . I will try it on my 50mm when I get that spanner

Do you happen to know any book(s) on cleaning for manual 35mm camera ?

I might have a verry good chance of getting a Pentax K 1958 !!!

I would really like to thank you for that post for another reason Roy.

After 35+ years of use my 50mmF2 was still internally clean, but starting to fall apart.
I was about to start looking for a replacement, but discovered that it's an easy fix. Just 3 screws almost out

Camera Repair Manuals, Pentax K, M, Screwmount Service Manuals

Or even right from Pentax
Pentax Imaging - Manuals & Literature
I understand that Pentax used to have them available to download for free, so if you e-mail them they might be able to e-mail you a copy

welcome to all. i just hope i haven't talked myself out of sales in the market place. i've got another 50f2 on the way with oil on the aperture blades. guess it'll be another lerning experience.

I used my thumb, it was coming loose as well
Plus my thumbs seem to grip things quite well.

If you happen to have an old manual F1.4 or even a F1.7 for sale please let me know Roy

Great link! I have an M 50mm f/1.7 with a dented filter ring and another with some weird markings on the glass. I might just try cleaning/swapping the parts!
