At first I thought I would regret selling everything I did to pay for them but as soon as I put them on the camera, all that went away.. I bought 2 lenses this week, one from B&H and the other from Prodigital2000. The DA12-24 f4 came from B&H and the DFA 100mm f2.8 WR came from Prodigital2000. I sold my not being used K20d, my FA35 f2 (again, not being used), 2x Super Program bodies, and a few various other things to pay for the new lenses.
The DFA 100mm is much smaller than I expected it to be, witness experience with my Vivitar 105mm macro. I like that. Within minutes of unpacking it I was outside with it for the one color even of the pre-spring before everything turns to crap weather again..
Of course as usual, the wind would not cooperate for my attempts at Macro photography but I managed to get Something..
f3.5 1/1000 sec
With the wind kicking up at every shutter press, I kind of liked This photo..
Of course it makes a pretty nice short Telephoto too..
This is my third purchase from Prodigital2000. Despite concerns of short selling items, poor shipping practices, etc, this lens was on the UPS truck 1 day after I ordered it and here 3 days later (Canada to Michigan). It was well packed in a box for the trip. Yes, this is an endorsement for them.
The DA12-24 came from B&H.. First let me say that I'm not a real big fan of zooms. Not catch all zooms anyway. I must say however that with the Short range zooms, Pentax has hit several home runs and this one is a Grand Slam! I only had time to do a few test shots with it..
