Amazing, amazing, amazing!

These shots were ALL outstanding, but obviously, that last one blew our socks off. You explained the set-up, but what time of day was it?

I'm looking at that little area of sky where there appears to still be sun.
Thanks buddy, means a lot! Oliver's quite right and I believe it's also the limitation of (1) the Pentax's shutter speed of 1/180 (some ambient may have blurred the leg) and (2) my flashes, especially at those distances and at those power levels, didn't have a quick enough flash duration.

I'm actually really happy with the slight blur, gives a great sense of movement. The other shots didn't have that blur.

Outstanding photos, excellent work! (natitirang mga larawan, mahusay na trabaho) - hope that translation means the same thing. ;-)
Hahaha thanks buddy! That translates to "remaining photos, great job" haha!

A big hand from Germany for your great work!
I just bought my old DA15 back, now I know what to do...

Rainer
I'm a firm believer you can do portraits with ANY lens, you just gotta learn how.

Thanks Rainer! Greetings from the Philippine Islands!

Really, great stuff.
It's been a while eh? Thanks Jay!

These are great! I normally don't like athletic portraits (for example, a guy in a clean football uniform in a three-point stance), but these are wonderful.

great shots Joe. but I have to agree that the last one is fantastic. I thought she's going to kick that ball at you.

Thanks! The faster sync speed would be great but I'll live without it

Thanks!! Animo!!

I get them from Camerahaus, or sometimes from other PentaxForums people. I try to get from Camerahaus to support the local distributors, and avoid gray market stuff.

These are great Diego!
considering it's DA15. (as in the way that 15mm is not usually the first pick for portraits)... they are really really great!

It's late, but thank you! All sorts of stuff, selective areas with adjustments to contrast and dodge&burn
