Thanks Gene. I believe I used 5 lights there, 1 on the left, 2 at the back (you can even see my lightstands at the back, i left them there for a little raw touch), 2 somewhere on the right, all at different heights and settings.
Originally posted by TheTenaciousOne Thats amazing work there =D Reminds me a bit of Dave Hill's stuff being so surreal and all. Your subjects look rather powerful and all in the two portraits.
Thanks buddy. I'm a fan of his work, although I don't like applying too much PP on my work. I do very selective PP and Dave Hill's work has a LOT of HDR and PP
Originally posted by emr They're all great, but the last one is pure magic! I'm also interested to hear how did you do the light, flash etc.
Thanks buddy! I did some very selective lighting to accent/highlight certain things I wanted to highlight.
Originally posted by Ira I think I just fell in love with a lens.
Yeah, I know it's the skill of the photographer, but let's keep things in perspective.
SPECTACULAR!!!
I'm guessing that on the last one, she didn't kick the ball. Someone slowly tossed it AT her, and she kicked as it approached.
Either that or Photoshop.
Thanks Ira. You can do killer portraits with ANY lens, trust me.
She did kick that ball, no PP on that ball there. She's a helluva football player
