SMC-M 100mm f/4 Macro worth getting?

I wonder if anyone here has any experience with the lens in the topic? Is it any good? Is it worth 99€?

I understand that it is manual focus, but that's ok as I need macro mostly for flowers and other slow moving things.

i think 99euros would be the absolute top for it. i've had extensive use with this lens. you can get them here in the states for around 100+/-usd. it's a superb lens. only 1:2 but it's sharp as a tack. i miss mine but i sold it for a vivitar 105mm f2.5 1:1. at times i miss it's light weight compared to the vivitar.. they are equal in sharpness. want pix?? i'll post some.

I would go for an f/2.8 lens, it will be easier to focus.
Thing is that there is a loss of light when you're out at high magnification, so an f/4 could become somewhat of a challenge to focus.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll just get a new 100mm macro and be done with it.

i used this lens for 26 years and never had a problem with focusing.
