Fa series lenses

i'm new to this so let me ask,why are all the Fa series lenses so much more expensive tna other series made by pentax, Ihave been re-searching the lenses for about the last week and I have noticed this, the fa 77 ltd and the fa 31 are
pretty expensive but i would like to own both from the pictures I've seen them
take are there any used places that they can be found used (and are they any cheaper?)

You answered your own question. it's all about the excellent image quality. The speed is very good with these as well and the build quality is superior to all the others with the exception FA* (discontinued) and some of the older A series.
